Last year was the first ever UN Year of Co-operatives, seeing a huge amount of activity across the world to celebrate and promote co-operatives.
Here in the UK, events culminated in a global gathering in manchester, Co-operatives United, which saw over 10,000 people visit Manchester Central Conference Centre to learn more about the movement from the co-ops from 5 continents who made the journey.
Two Co-ops in London who got an immediate benefit were Calverts and Paperback, who produced a souvenir brochure commissioned by the Co-operatve group to celebrate their range of activities in the year.
