Co-operatives London promotes co-operation across Greater London by bringing together people from all parts of the co-operative movement.
We want to see the co-operative economy grow, through more co-operatives in London, more people working for co-operatives in London and more people trading with them.
We do this by bringing together co-operators to:
- share information, ideas and services to help each others’s enterprises, through mentoring, support and cross-trading
- identify opportunities for growth of new and existing co-operatives
- campaign and lobby as a movement on behalf of our members
We organise events in London for promoting co-operatives and providing networking opportunities for co-operators.
We work with the co-operative movement nationally and internationally, through Co-operatives UK and we seek to influence them to ensure their activities support the diverse and different needs of co-operatives in the capital, and also encourage our members to play their part in the wider UK and international movement.
We’re run by a voluntary board who are elected by our members at the annual meeting, and we have a part-time Communications Worker supported by a grant from The Co-operative.
